What is Covered:
All Cavalier Computer Safeware Protection Plans protect against mechanical/electrical failure, manufacturer’s defect issues, failure during normal use, and accidental damage from handling (cracked screens, liquid spills, drops, falls, etc.). Plus, all of the plans come with theft coverage provided*!
What is not Covered?
Hmmm… not much! A few examples would be:
•Abuse or neglect of a device (think: you dropped it out your dorm room window to see what would happen.
•Normal consumption of a device battery.
•Mechanical issues happening within the manufacturer’s warranty period (because your device manufacturer should be helping you take care of those issues.
•Lost property or mysterious disappearance of a device.

How Do I Obtain Service?
It’s easy! Bring system to Cavalier Computers and we'll be able to perform the repair in house. However, if you’re traveling or not on campus for any reason, you can contact Safeware directly and they can help you find another location convenient to you! You'll need to do the following:
- Once a claim is filed and approved by Safeware, we’ll direct you to one of our authorized service locations based on where you are located and the type of repair work needed on your device.
How is Safeware Different Than AppleCare+
We’re so glad you asked! The major differences between Safeware and AppleCare+ are:
• AppleCare+ is 3 years, Safeware offers up to 4 years of coverage.
• AppleCare+ has MAJOR deductibles that have to be paid (on top of the cost of the plan) before service can be completed. Safeware has $0 deductibles on all plans.
• AppleCare+ has a 2-claim limit for accidental damage. Safeware doesn’t limit the number of claims – with us, and you have up to the amount of money you spent to purchase the device available in funds to use on repairs.
• Safeware offers complimentary theft coverage on all plans for all types of devices – AppleCare+ doesn’t even offer this option to customers!

Theft coverage plan is provided by Safeware, The Insurance Agency, Inc., under an insurance policy that will be issued to you by Technology Insurance Company, Inc., promptly after registering. *You must register your plan within 30 days of product purchase to take advantage of this offer. You will need to provide us with your contact information and product details in order to complete registration. There is no additional cost to register. Once registered, this plan provides theft coverage for one year from the date you purchased your product, subject to the terms, conditions, exclusions and a $100 deductible under the insurance policy.
