If you purchase AppleCare, the repairs will be covered by the warranty, but you will have to pay service fees for screen damage or other damage,m according to Apple's warranty. The longest warranty from Apple is only 3 Years and does not cover fees (Mac: $99 for screen damage (or external enclosure damage), $299 for other damage.) CAV Program computers come with a 4-Year Warranty included, and all fees are covered.
And would I get a loaner computer for free? Non-CAV Program computers are charged a $45 fee. CAV Program computers get a free loaner to use during repairs.
Also, do computers purchased through the CAV program come preloaded with any UVA systems, or is it the same as if I bought it through Apple? We do not preload software, as your UVA ID and password are required to install software; we provide you with links to access and download the basic software.
